馬英九同額競選黨主席

國民黨今（20）日舉行黨主席、黨代表選舉，副總統吳敦義今日也前往投票，對於基層傳出要投廢票的說法，吳敦義則說，目前國際經濟情勢仍然不穩，國內也有很多重大議題關係國家發展，行使投票權是黨員非常重要的權利，若投廢票「真正可惜」。
行政院長江宜樺上午先到台北市中正區強恕中學投票，吳敦義則是稍晚抵達，並加入等候投票的行列，原本較早到場排在隊伍前方的江宜樺則是離開原位與吳敦義打招呼。
吳敦義說，現在國際經濟情勢還是不穩定，國內除受國際影響外，內部也有很多重大議題關係到國家未來的發展、台灣的前途。
他認為，國民黨作為一個執政黨，要發揮以黨輔政的功能，當然由馬總統擔任黨主席是以黨輔政最好方式。
吳敦義說，馬英九如果能繼續連任黨主席，一定會在既有基礎上，在黨的缺點、需要改進加強的地方更努力；有優點則繼續發揚，凝聚黨的團結，讓執政更順利、符合民眾的期許。
