大愛、中天《路長情更長》劇中飾演女主角「林美蘭」的簡沛恩，過去演戲經驗豐富也自認很會哭，但是這次在劇中哭戲更多：「我的眼睛好像都沒消腫過，天天頂著核桃眼上戲！」簡沛恩自豪「我現在哭功更精進，三秒就能哭！」

當初因接拍友台的本土劇，加上身兼餐飲店老闆娘，她說：「時間有限，現在拍戲都是好玩過戲癮，戲重的角色像是女主角都很少考慮。」本來婉拒接演《路長情更長》，拿到劇本才發現角色挑戰性超大，簡沛恩直言：「我第一次看劇本時就哭了，劇組安排我與美蘭師姊本人密談一個多小時，讓我更了解美蘭的想法，我們倆甚至抱頭痛哭！也讓我挑戰飾演這個角色更有把握。」

相較於簡沛恩在戲中總是淚眼朦朧，何豪傑為了要舒緩沉重的拍戲情緒，常常會唱歌、跳舞在劇組耍寶，搞得簡沛恩哭笑不得，加上當時何豪傑剛完割雙眼皮，而戲中要苦追簡沛恩，於是何豪傑使出迷人電眼把妹，沒想到看起來卻像在瞪人，讓對戲的簡沛恩、林可唯等女星頻頻笑場。
