泰國央行出乎意料決議維持基準利率在2.25%不變，市場原本預期迫於國內局勢持續動蕩，該行會降息四分之一厘。

泰國央行聲明指出，目前的政策利率仍然適合於經濟增長，政治動盪造成衝擊是短期的，並認為泰國經濟基本因素良好，能夠抵禦政治形勢的衝擊。

泰國央行將該國2014年國內生產總值(GDP)增長預測從此前估計的4%下調至3%，同時將2013年GDP增長預測從此前的3%調低至不足3%。
