（中央社巴塞隆納11日綜合外電報導）西班牙東北部加泰隆尼亞地區民眾今天在大城巴塞隆納集會示威，要求舉行公民投票決定是否脫離西班牙獨立，市政府估計約有180萬民眾走上街頭，展現爭取獨立的聲勢。

示威群眾排出象徵勝利的巨型V字，表達支持擬議於11月9日舉行的獨立公投。

巴塞隆納市（Barcelona）政府是由民族主義派加泰隆尼亞聯盟與匯合黨（CiU）領導，市府官員對記者透露上述估計參與人數。

西班牙中央政府反對加泰隆尼亞地區（Catalonia）任何走向獨立的舉動，已稱這項投票為非法，並揚言阻撓。

在蘇格蘭將於18日舉行獨立公投的推波助瀾下，加泰隆尼亞自治區的民族主義者，也希望能脫離西班牙，成為主權獨立的國家。
