約旦以色列簽協議引紅海救死海

【大紀元2月27日報導】（中央社）約旦和以色列今天簽署1項協議，將建立水道引紅海的水注入日益乾涸的死海，解決區域缺水問題。

約旦官方培特拉通訊社（Petra）報導，這項在約旦首都安曼（Amman）簽署的協議，將啟動這項被期待已久計畫的第1階段。

以色列、約旦與巴勒斯坦自治政府代表，歷時10多年談判，2013年12月在美國與世界銀行（World Bank）代表見證下，於華府簽署合作意向書，依此將設置1條地下水道，引紅海的水注入死海。

約旦水利部部長納賽爾（Hazem Nesser）表示，在計畫的第1階段，每年將從紅海注入3億立方公尺的水量。

總共將建造4條水道，最終目標是在計畫完工後引20億立方公尺的水入死海。

死海是地球上最鹹及最深的內陸湖，研究預測恐於2050年以前乾涸。（譯者：中央社陳怡君）
