民進黨立委趙天麟18日上午在高雄召開記者會，公布與陸軍下士洪仲丘同期的禁閉生訪談內容，控訴軍方的行為簡直就是蓄意殺人。豈料，趙天麟爆料記者會一結束，禁閉生受到軍檢約談。
趙天麟18日傍晚表示，軍檢若是為了釐清真相，提供法定證人保護，他支持並將協助司法偵辦。
趙天麟還說，軍檢若傳喚只是再度施壓證人不得對外發聲，以便官官相護，他將追究國防部、軍檢責任絕不寬貸，也不排除公佈更多隱情。
另外，趙天麟強調，真相不應因為洪仲丘的過世而被掩蓋，呼籲國防部應立即啟動證人保護法第13條「命付短期生活安置，指定安置機關，在一定期間內將受保護人安置於適當環境或協助轉業，並給予生活照料」，讓6名禁閉生說出真相，並給於保護至平安退伍。
