針對故宮博物院翠玉白菜、肉形石等鎮院之寶，將出借到日本展覽，立法院長王金平今（26）日說，日方同意採用「國立故宮博物院」正式名稱，有特殊意義，他相信經過展覽後，日本民眾會對中華文物有更深感情，「對台灣也是好的」。

王金平說，日本各界為了促成這次展覽，還特別制定海外展覽品公開促進法，故宮同意出借翠玉白菜、肉形石到日本展覽，除了因為這兩件國寶是故宮最受歡迎的寶物，也是因為日本民眾對這兩件中華文物最有興趣，而在台灣堅持下，日本終於同意故宮可以使用「國立故宮博物院」正式名稱，「有特殊意義」。

王金平說，根據往年各國文物借展到日本的統計數據，目前為止參觀人次最多的是「蒙娜麗莎的微笑」繪畫作品，吸引150萬人次，日方估計翠玉白菜、肉形石至少可吸引300萬人次參觀。
