友達光電31日舉行法人說明會公布自行結算第2季財務報表，合併稅後淨利39.82億元（1.33億美元），終結連續10季的虧損，正式轉盈，每股稅後淨利0.43元，累計上半年每股稅後淨利0.08元，在下半年需求不看淡下，全年可望轉虧為盈，走出虧損的陰影，股價1日開高走高，攻上漲停11.3元，追價買單逾1.5萬張。
友達第2季合併營收1123.35億元（37.49億美元），較首季增加19.2%，合併毛利率10.3%，合併稅後淨利39.82億元（1.33億美元），終結連續10季的虧損，正式轉盈，每股稅後淨利0.43元，累計上半年每股稅後淨利0.08元；總經理彭双浪表示，第3季展望審慎樂觀。
友達第2季合併營業毛利115.15億元（3.84億美元），合併營業淨利52.05億零元（1.74億美元），合併營業淨利率為4.6%。第2季合併稅後淨利39.82億元（1.33億美元），其中歸屬於母公司業主之淨利為39.24億元（1.31億美元），第2季基本每股盈餘0.43元（每單位ADR盈餘0.14美元）。
友達累計上半年合併營收2065.79億元（68.95億美元），上半年合併稅後淨利6.62億元（2200萬美元），上半年基本每股盈餘為0.08元。
合計第2季大尺寸出貨量約為3050萬片，與2013年第1季相比增加13.2%。中小尺寸出貨量約為3660萬片，較第1季增加19.2%。
友達指出，展望第3季，由於大陸節能補助結束，電視品牌客戶進入庫存調整期，將聚焦產品差異化，提升平均尺寸及產品規格，希望能在市場波動中，維持競爭力及營運表現。
友達強調，面臨PC及中小尺寸產業及產品的快速演變，將持續創新產品設計、以整合型的產品協助客戶創造價值，例如創新開發的整合型觸控面板(Embedded Touch Panel; eTP)，已獲得多家國際品牌客戶採用，出貨量預計第3季全面起飛。
