針對民進黨擬推動倒閣案，立法院長王金平今（2）日表示，他希望政局穩定，大家一起用盡心力，一起拚經濟，讓各方面有實質進步，王金平說，至於民進黨要怎麼做，他無法置評。
發起倒閣連署的民進黨立委葉宜津表示，目前已經有34名立委連署倒閣案，但民進黨立法院黨團幹部還沒連署，對此，行政院長江宜樺日前受訪時則說，尊重立法院。
民進黨立委李應元上午在立法院舉行記者會，對於倒閣案，他呼籲王金平不能當第三者，有責任協助解決，發揮國會領導力，促成在野黨45席立委以外，增加到讓倒閣案通過的57席。
憲法增修條文規定，立法院得經全體立委1/3以上連署，對行政院長提出不信任案。不信任案提出72小時後，應於48小時內以記名投票表決，經全體立委1/2以上贊成，行政院長應10天內提出辭職，並得同時呈請總統解散立法院。
