Apple 表示部分 Macbook Air 2012 年中版的 SSD 可能存在問題，從 2012 年 6 月到 2013 年 6 月出產的 Macbook Air 2012 年版 64GB 和 128GB 版本可能會導致資料遺失。同時 Apple 在官網發佈「MacBook Air Flash Storage Firmware Update 1.1」韌體更新，就是針對 Macbook Air 2012 年中版推出的更新檢查。

這份更新是為了測試 SSD 硬體是否有受到影響，同時新版本韌體將可解決上述的資料遺失問題。如果使用者的 Macbook Air 2012 年中版無法更新此韌體， Apple 將提供免費更換 SSD 的服務。確定為問題名單中的機器，也請不要更新 OS 系列或安裝任何軟體，並請備份好系統及軟體。
