民進黨主席蔡英文今天傍晚到彰化和美鎮為縣長候選人魏明谷造勢晚會站台，蔡英文表示，雖然魏明谷民調暫時領先，但還未和對手拉大差距，一再呼籲選民，務必將選票集中投給魏明谷，用年底選舉結果讓執政黨知道民眾對現況的不滿，她說，彰化、台中和南投三縣市是選戰關鍵區域，未來若三縣順利綠色執政，也會合作執政，讓中台灣成為下一個重要區域。
