高美濕地賞雲林莞草　走棧道免挨罰

台中市高美濕地雖列入野生動物保護區，仍有民眾誤闖，去年整年共開罰2百萬元。台中市海岸資源漁業發展所統計，去年有46人誤闖高美野生動物保護區，都因想就近欣賞雲林莞草，直接從海堤穿越護欄走入高美濕地，未經由棧道，誤闖野生動物保護區的核心區或緩衝區而挨罰。由於都是初犯，根據《野生動物保育法》每件裁罰5萬元，14歲至18歲未成年者輕罰2萬5千元。今年迄今未有民眾違規。

台中市高美愛鄉協會理事長楊紫勝表示，高美濕地木棧道日前完工，全長六百九十一公尺，來回步行約需二十分鐘，民眾只要順著木棧道走到五百公尺外的外海，即屬高美野生動物保護區的永續利用區，不會受罰。（蕭夙眉／台中報導）
