傳美司法部要花旗付逾100億美元和解

彭博資訊報導，美國司法部已要求花旗集團（Citigroup）支付逾100億美元，以和解2008年金融危機期間房貸擔保證券銷售的調查。

知情人士透露，由於花旗原本只打算以不到40億美元來和解此案。但美司法部9日起中止這項與花旗從4月展開的協商，並準備控告花旗。司法部最快可能在本周向花旗提起告訴。

在美國司法部針對房貸擔保證券銷售的調查中，包括花旗在內，至少有八家銀行遭到調查。摩根大通去年11月才支付130億美元，與聯邦及地方調查機關達成類似和解。
